Some people in St. Albans are cleaning up Saturday, after a water main break flooded parts of their homes.
The break occurred on First Street North around 2:30 a.m.
West Virginia American Water showed up to try and fix the problem at noon, but a couple of neighbors said the damage was already done.
One man's basement and garage suffered water damage and another neighbor said he got water inside his home.
The neighbors said they're frustrated.
“This is like the third or fourth time this has happened,” said Cecila Sansom. “This is a big water line, and they need to replace the water line.”
“They need to put a new water line all the way across, down to the river, because this is continuous,” said David Sansom. “I bet, in the last eight years, it's busted 10 times."
The water main was fixed Saturday evening, but the clean-up continues for those homeowners.
