U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin says finger-pointing by both sides won’t accomplish anything in resolving the issue of the $85 billion in across-the-board spending cuts set to immediately take effect Saturday.
"In the Senate, everyone's got to come to grips and understand, one side can't do it,” Manchin said. “Democrats can't do it by themselves, no matter how right we may think we are, and the Republicans can't do it by themselves."
