A few minutes of your time and one simple test, may be all it takes to save the life of a young Kentucky girl who is waiting for a bone marrow transplant.
Eight-year-old Mailyn Chandler of Louisa has spent much of the last few years in the hospital. Chandler was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2008.
You can take the test to see if you are a match for Mailyn in Charleston Thursday.
Potential donors will have the inside of their cheeks swabbed to see if they are a match. The drive runs from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center.
More than 2,000 people have been tested so far, but no match has been found.
