A road that was closed due to a large rock slide in Boyd County, Kentucky, has reopened.
Crews worked through Thursday evening to clear the debris that was discovered on KY 757 early Wednesday morning. The road was closed to traffic during that time.
A road in Boyd County, Ky. has been closed due to a rock slide.
The rock slide closed KY 757, or Old US 23, between Calgon Carbon's Big Sandy plant and Campbells Branch, according to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The Department of Highways is clearing the road, but the road is likely to stay closed until Thursday. Drivers in the area should prepare for redirected traffic and delays.
