Kentucky state troopers have released the name of a man whose body was discovered in the Tug River on Monday.
The body of Chad Everett Roberts, 41, of Rawl, W.Va., was discovered in the Tug Fork River in South Williamson. Roberts body was sent to the state Medical Examiners Office for a positive identification.
State Police are still investigating.
A body has been found in a Kentucky river.
The body was discovered about 12:30 p.m. Monday in the Tug Fork River in the South Williamson community of Pike County, Kentucky, troopers said.
Detectives Gary Sykes and Kevin Newsome along with the Belfry Fire Department responded to the location.
The body will be transported to the state Medical Examiner's Office for identification purposes, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. The case remains under investigation.
