Habitat for Humanity in Huntington got a boost from a law firm from Charleston.
Friday morning, Bowles Rice law office donated $2,500 to go towards the "Raising the Bar Build" home in Huntington. The home is one of 25 "themed" builds to celebrate Habitat's 25th anniversary of building homes for low-income families. The "Raising the Bar Build" home is being built and financed by law firms around the state.
"It's a neat day and a neat time. Any time you can build affordable housing for someone deserving, you can't beat that," Justin Harrison a Bowles Rice Attorney said.
The home, located on 1829 9th Ave. in Huntington, is expected to be finished in June.
