An Ohio couple is facing drug charges after detectives said they discovered drugs in a hotel room they were staying at in Greenup County, Ky.
Amy L. Turvey, 29, of South Point and Nathaniel L. Johnson, 34, of Columbus were arrested Wednesday. Detectives with the FIVCO Area Drug Task Force said the suspects were at the hotel in Russell to sell drugs, according to a news release from the task force. Detectives and officers with the Russell Police Department searched their hotel room and car and said they found, cocaine, oxycodone pills, hydrocodone pills, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Turvey was charged with trafficking in cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson is charged with trafficking cocaine. The task force said more charges could be pending.
