Parker will assume her duties as director March 11.
Former Kanawha County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Maryclaire Akers will take over from Parker as attorney for the commission, according to a news release from the commission. Akers was fired from her position by Kanawha County Prosecutor Mark Plants on Feb. 5.
