Ashland commissioners will consider Thursday whether to pursue a deal to have a floating restaurant permanently docked at Ashland Riverfront.
City officials told The Independent this week the city has talked to owners and developers to locate the Star of Louisville at the Port of Ashland on the Ohio River.
City Manager Steve Corbitt said he expects the commission will allow him to begin further negotiations with the project developers.
The 135-foot boat would be permanently docked at the edge of the upgraded part of the riverfront.
Mayor Chuck Charles said discussions are early at this point but added the concept is an exciting idea.
