Marshall University was recognized with a special day at the state Capitol Wednesday.
Staff, students and alumni greeted visitors and talked to legislators at the Capitol for the annual Marshall Day.
About 40 displays were set up to promote the university's programs. The John Marshall Fife and Drum Corps also put on a show for those in attendance to enjoy.
