Police said a man who called and reported three men robbed him and his roommate of their marijuana told authorities he did not think he would get in trouble because he is a victim.

Instead, police said the man and his roommate and the three robbery suspects are now all facing charges.

Huntington police and West Virginia State Police were investigating a report of a robbery Sunday evening in the 500 block of 22nd Street in Huntington. The victims claimed that three men robbed them at gunpoint and were heading back to where they were from in Kanawha County, State Police said.

Law enforcement officers in the area were put on alert for the three suspects when they were caught by Hurricane police officers on Interstate 64. Police said they discovered a large bag of marijuana inside the vehicle that was taken from the Huntington residence.

Investigators said they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and pills at the scene of the reported robbery in Huntington. One of the suspects who called about the robbery allegedly told police he didn't think he would get in trouble because he was the victim, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell Magistrate Court.

The two men who lived in the home, William K. Maynard, 22, and Neal B. Richardson, 20, both of Huntington are facing possession with the intent to deliver charges. Karson R. Williams, 19, of Cross Lanes and Jacob G. Brown, 21, and James T. Flint, 20, both of Nitro, were charged with robbery.
