Flames tearing through a house early Tuesday morning lit up the neighborhood along Altizer Avenue in Huntington. A neighbor who didn't want to be identified said he woke up early this morning. "My son came in and said somebody's knocking on the front door saying there's a fire. I looked out and the place was pretty much engulfed." Police say they believe the fire was intentionally set early Tuesday morning. It was called in just before 4:30 in the 4700 block of Altizer Avenue. Investigators say they believe the fire was set to cover up a burglary. The neighbor we talked to said, "It's pretty scary. You don't know what goes on. This is a pretty good neighborhood and we don't usually have problems like that." The man who owns the home was not here, and neighbors are glad the high winds didn't cause the fire to spread. "That's what concerned me the embers were blowing all over the neighborhood and I was actually out back with a hose squirting off the back roof just in case." Police are hoping surveillance video captured from some neighbors can help them catch the person or people responsible.
