Racing down the track - that's what Cub Scouts from all over the area were doing Saturday morning in Winfield.
The kids from the Cub Scout Pack 17 raced their homemade cars down ramps to see who would finish in the top spot. The cars are a work of art and are built from wood.
The event is designed to teach the children sportsmanship.
The Pinewood Derby was selected as part of "America's 100 Best" in 2006 as "a celebrated rite of spring" by Reader's Digest.
