Huntington Mayor Steve Williams delivered his State of the City address Friday at City Hall.
Williams not only talked about his goals for the city, but also laid out his budget proposal, both of which are very ambitious.
Williams said his administration is going to start cracking down on the people who owe Huntington money. He wants to see a nearly $2 million increase in revenue over the current year's budget.
An increase in the business and occupation tax collections makes up 62% of this increase in revenue.
Williams also introduced 11 new programs for the city. While ambitious, Williams said it will be done.
Most members of city council, who will vote to to approve the budget, said they are happy, although they still have to crunch the numbers.
