Two people have been arrested in two separate incidents after detectives with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department said they made undercover drug buys.
James S. Kinderman, Jr., 24, and Dustin T. Weiher, 29, both of Ashland, were charged with trafficking a controlled substance on Wednesday. Undercover narcotics officer with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department investigated the two suspects at the same apartment complex in the 2000 block of Gibbs Court, according to a news release from the department.
Investigators said they found pills, money and drug paraphernalia inside Weiher's apartment. Deputies accuse Kinderman of selling pills to undercover officers. The two suspects are being held at the Boyd County Detention Center.
Sheriff Terry Keelin said more arrests are pending following the drug investigation of the apartment complex.
