The city of Grayson, Ky., will soon be looking to fill the position of chief of police.
Chief Ed Ginter turned in his letter of resignation to Grayson City Council on Tuesday. Ginter has been with the police department since 2008. He was a Kentucky state trooper for 19 years, prior to his stint as chief.
Mayor George Steel said that in the next four to six weeks the city will be searching for someone to fill the position. Three sergeants will run the department until an interim chief can be named.
