Troopers with the Kentucky State Police have arrested a man who they said hit a child leaving a school bus.
Scottie D. Ingle, 30, of Morehead was arrested Wednesday. Troopers responded to an accident about 7 a.m. on KY 519 in Morehead. Troopers said the suspect tried to pass a stopped school bus when he struck the child, according to a news release from State Police. The child was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Ingle was charged with wanton endangerment, passing a school bus and failure to notify an address change. He was being held at the Rowan County Detention Center.
