Dozens of women gathered in Charleston Tuesday to learn how the Affordable Care Act will affect their families.
State and city leaders were on hand to answer questions in the Schoenbaum Family Enrichment Center on Charleston's West Side.
The meeting highlighted the important Affordable Care Act benefits such as pap smears and mammography screenings, which are now being provided without deductibles or co-payments.
Leaders are reaching out to mothers because they are usually the health care decider for children and their husbands.
Tuesday's meeting was one of several being planned across West Virginia.
