Charges were dismissed Tuesday in Kanawha Circuit Court against a former Charleston police captain.
Myron White had faced harassment and battery charges, but the charges were dismissed during an expungement hearing.
The charges against White were related to an alleged incident involving two women at a local restaurant.
White was placed on administrative leave in May 2010 and retired from the department in November 2010.
White's attorney alleged the charges were retaliation for his client's request for an investigation into the friendly fire incident that killed Officer Jerry Jones. The Charleston Police Department said that allegation was ludicrous.
