Putnam County sheriff's deputies and MDENT officers bust a couple for allegedly making meth.
Deputies say the arrest can completely be attributed to a neighborhood who knew something just wasn't right at the couple's home in Red House
Kason Casto and Misty Sigmon are both charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.
Deputies say they amount of meth being made inside the home on Round Knob Road was substantial. Deputies say neighbors had called in to complain about the heavy traffic to and from the home.
They followed up on the tips and went to the house for a knock and talk on Monday. They say video surveillance was showing a live feed from outside into the garage. Once inside, they say they found all of the makings of a meth lab, complete with tubes venting the fumes out of the window.
"We've taken a big dent of the meth lab production and selling in that immediate area out there," said Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese. "It's nice to take these people of the streets and putting the citizens and neighbors in the Round Knob area in danger."
