A women remains shaken up after coming home to a sight she was not expecting.
"This is the first time anybody's ever bothered me," said Doris Pauley of Alum Creek.
Pauley was dropping her granddaughter off at school on Friday morning, but when she returned to her home in Alum Creek she was surprised.
"Well I came home this morning and somebody had busted into my door and took my TV. When I came here, the glass was all over the porch and in here," said Pauley, "Couldn't hardly get the door open."
Pauley says break-ins have been a common occurrence on Coal River Road in Alum Creek.
And now that crime has come to her doorstep, she's worried not only for her safety, but the safety of her two grandchildren.
"I feel awful, a little leery to even stay here. I'm not staying here till I get me a gun because it's just too dangerous."
West Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
Pauley says she hopes they catch whoever robbed her to bring her some peace of mind and justice.
"I've never done nothing to nobody and it's not right. And I don't care who it is. If we find out who it is, they're going to be prosecuted."
