Two people are behind bars after a routine traffic stop turns into a cocaine bust in Scioto County, Ohio.
Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say they stopped the driver of a Dodge Ram on US 23 in Lucasville Friday evening for a moving violation and several vehicle defects.
The troopers say they called in a canine unit to search the vehicle after they saw evidence of drugs in the vehicle. They say they found two ounces of cocaine worth $4,700.
The driver, 52-year-old Mark Trogdon, and his passenger, 42-year-old Van Smith, are charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking cocaine. Both are currently being held in the Scioto County Jail.
