KY CRIME BUST Eight People Indicted For Organized Crimes Charges

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, eight people were indicted for engaging in organized crime.
They arrested Jerry L. Maynard 24 of Inez, Colby C. Maynard 26 of Inez, Nannie Lucy Blackburn 35 of Inez, Dennis Scott 34 of Pilgrim, Alvin Wesley Johnson 28 of Inez, Melissa Hinkle 28 of Inez, Justin Keller 29 of Inez, and Sean Keller 27 of Inez were all indicted by the Martin County Grand Jury on charges of engaging in organized crime / criminal syndicate.
Police conducted an investigation into the theft of funds belonging to the Martin County Water District, and that investigation lead police to the arrest of those eight people who they say fraudulently obtained and cashed checks illegally from the water department account.
Kentucky State Police are still investigating the case.
