A big check from Appalachian Power will help uninsured people in West Virginia.
Appalachian Power President Charles Patton presented a check for $50,000 Thursday morning to West Virginia Health Right.
Health Right provides health care for people with little or no health insurance.
Most of the money will go toward providing prescription drugs to people at little or no cost.

Executive Director Patricia Wright said the money will be put to good use.
