A Scioto County, Ohio, man was arrested in connection with a home robbery attack that left the homeowners injured.
Kyle Cassidy, 27, of Lucasville was charged Friday with aggravated robbery. At 11 p.m. Thursday, a Lucasville couple along with their two small children returned home on Millers Run Back Run Road to find it ransacked, according to a news release from the Scioto County Sheriff's Department.
The owner of the home saw the suspect holding a knife, the release said. Sheriff Marty Donini said a struggle ensued that resulted in a pregnant woman being kicked in the stomach and the suspect holding a knife to the man's throat. The man was injured when he put his hand between the knife and his throat, the release said. The suspect allegedly fled with the victim's vehicle. The couple was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center for their injuries.
On Friday, the Portsmouth Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested without incident.
Cassidy's bond is set at $250,000. More charges could be pending.
