A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for some customers in the Beckley area due to a broken water main.
The advisory is effective immediately for Sweeneysburg Road starting at the Beckley Water Company Water Plant and extending to Pax Road and Clear Fork Road along Spruce Mountain, according to a press release from the Beckley Water Company.
Also included is the lower section of Maple Fork Road up to Burn Bowyer Road. All side streets are also included.
Customers should bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let cool before using. Boiled water should be used until further notice.
Crews are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
