The Charleston Police Criminal Investigations Divisions made an arrest Monday night in connection with the stabbing outside Impulse nightclub early Sunday morning.
Roland William Willis II was taken into custody and will be charged with three counts of malicious wounding.
According to the police report the incident started when Willis and the victim, Kevin Clemmens bumped into each other inside the club.
Witnesses say that led to an argument outside the club which ended in the stabbing.
Clemmens was rushed to CAMC where he underwent surgery for a cut in his liver.
Roland Willis will be arraigned Tuesday morning, but until then is in South Central Regional Jail.
