A man was killed after his vehicle overturned into a river in Pike County, Ky.
Louie B. Stewart, 48, of Draffin died on Friday. Troopers responded to an accident where a Jeep Grand Cherokee had ran off the roadway on River Road in Draffin and landed on its top in the river, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. Troopers said a passenger in the vehicle was able to get out. Fire and rescue removed the vehicle from the river.
Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Deputy Coroner Denver Bailey. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
