Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies said a woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend.
Patricia Lou Wilson was charged with malicious wounding after an incident that happened about 4 p.m. Saturday on High Street near St. Albans, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the victim, an adult male, called 911 to report he had been stabbed in the back with a butcher knife by his girlfriend. When the deputy arrived, he spoke with the victim who was outside the residence still talking to a Metro 911 operator. The victim told the deputy Wilson was inside a spare bedroom and was intoxicated.
The deputy found and arrested Wilson. He also discovered a bloody butcher knife in the kitchen sink. Wilson was arraigned by Magistrate Ward Harshbarger and taken to South Central Regional Jail in lieu of bond. The felony preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The victim was taken by a Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. Further details on his condition were unavailable.
