A boil water advisory has been issued for customers in the Amma area in Clay County.
Customers on Amma, Big Pigeon and Little Pigeon roads are advised to boil their water after a main line break, according to a news release from the Clay Roane Public Service District.
The public service district said do not drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation until further notice.
Officials said they believe the problem would be resolved within 72 hours.
