A Charleston man is behind bars accused of throwing a pot of boiling water on a woman.
According to a criminal complaint, 61-year-old Wade Chester threw a pot of scalding hot water on the victim's chest Friday night. At this time, it is unclear what provoked the attack.
The victim suffered severe burns to her chest and was taken to the hospital.
Chester is charged with malicious wounding and is currently being held in the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
