One woman died after a head-on vehicle crash in Boone County Friday.
Two vehicles were involved in the head-on collision that happened about 1 p.m. on Route 3 at the mouth of Foster Hollow.
West Virginia State Police say Rachel Vickers, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, died from her injuries.
Five other people were reportedly injured in the accident, which troopers said was likely due to slick roads after falling snow stuck to frozen roadways throughout the state.
Three people were taken to the hospital with what were being considered non-life-threatening injuries.
