DRUG COURT HONORS Five People Honored For Graduation From Kanawha Drug Court Program

Some people trying to do the right thing were honored Thursday after successfully completing drug court in Kanawha County.
Five participants graduated from the 12-month program Thursday. A ceremony was held at the Kanawha County Courthouse. Drug court is a diversion program where individuals charged with various crimes fueled by alcohol and drug addiction can participate in a rehabilitation program with judicial oversight to assist them in overcoming their addiction.
Thirty-eight people have graduated from drug court since the program started in July 2009.
