The northbound lane of Interstate 79 near the Clendenin exit that was closed following an accident Thursday morning has reopened, an emergency dispatcher said.
The accident happened about 7:40 a.m. The accident scene was cleared by emergency personnel about 8:40 a.m. No one was injured in the wreck that occurred in Roane County.
Snow and icy conditions caused some problems Thursday morning for drivers along Interstate 79.
Eyewitness News was told the driver of a truck hit a patch of ice near the Clendenin exit in Roane County.
The accident closed the northbound lane while crews worked to clear the accident.
