Huntington police said an elderly woman was injured during a scuffle with a purse snatcher.
Jonathan A. Hardiman, 28, of Huntington was charged with robbery Friday. Police said the suspect approached the 79-year-old victim in the parking lot of a grocery store on Sixth Avenue, according to a criminal complaint. The suspect grabbed the victim, swung her against her car and took her purse, the complaint said. Police said the woman tried to get the purse back but was injured in the process.
Hardiman was being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
