Police said a Charleston man who allegedly fired a gun Wednesday morning on the East End now faces multiple charges.
Justin D. Wilson was charged with shooting across a road or near a building or crowd, carrying a concealed weapon and receiving or transferring stolen goods, according to criminal complaints filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
Charleston Police Officer G.R. Daniels responded to a call that shots were fired in the Sidney and McClung streets area. A caller gave a description of the suspect and said he had gone into the 7-Eleven on Washington Street East.
The officer said he approached the suspect, and he acknowledged the gun, a semi-automatic .22 caliber handgun, was in his pocket, and that he had fired the weapon.
Wilson was lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
