South Point , Lawrence County , Ohio

Lawrence County deputies said an Ohio man who was being sought in a domestic dispute was injured when he fled from officers and was ejected from his vehicle.

Jacob E. Ball, 25, of South Point was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital about midnight Tuesday, according to a news release from the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. Deputies received a call around midnight about a domestic dispute on County Road 1 in an apartment complex in South Point, the release said.

The suspect fled before deputies arrived, but spotted his car on U.S. 52. Deputies signaled for the driver to pull over, but the driver didn't stop. The suspect drove through a median to avoid stopped traffic and flipped on its top. The suspect was ejected from the vehicle and suffered injuries. No one else was in the car at the time, and no one else was injured as a result of the wreck. The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated the accident.

Ball will be charged with assault, aggravated trespass, auto larceny, disrupting public service and failure to comply with the orders of a police officers. Other charges could be pending.
