Police have released the name of the man they said led officers on a wild vehicle chase and half hour pursuit Monday morning.
Jeremy Hudson, 34, was charged with fleeing, causing bodily injury, fleeing causing property damage, assault during the commission of a felony and obstructing an officer.
During the incident, a South Charleston officer suffered minor injuries, but is home recovering.
A wild, half an hour police pursuit through Kanawha and Putnam Counties damaged three police cruisers and put the suspect in the hospital.
Police say it started in South Charleston after a man was making several traffic violations. According to officers, when they tried to pull him over he wouldn't stop.
He led them through Jefferson and in the process hit one St. Albans police cruiser. He then drove down Route 60 and onto the old Route 35.
Police say when he eventually turned around, he hit two more South Charleston cruisers.
After about 30 minutes, the suspect came to a stop along Winfield Road in Putnam County because of damage to his car.
The suspect was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital.
