Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies said they arrested four men early Friday morning for allegedly attempting to operate a methamphetamine laboratory in Sissonville.
The sheriff’s office STOP team arrested Steven M. Henson, 26, of Charleston, Edward C. Lyons, 29, of Charleston and Michael A. Beane, 19, of Charleston and Keith E. Nichols, 19, of Looneyville, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Lyons also was wanted on felony probation violation charges related to a separate clandestine lab, the release said. The house where the arrests were made belonged to Henson's grandparents, who were sleeping in the house.
Deputies were following a tip on the whereabouts of a stolen vehicle when they responded to 1576 Clearview Heights Road in Sissonville. During the investigation, evidence of a meth lab was discovered. A search warrant was obtained, and sheriff's office meth lab technicians responded to collect evidence. The stolen vehicle also was recovered.
