An Ohio man was sentenced in U.S. District Court for using a webcam to make child pornography and distributing it to another state.
Jason L. Hutchinson, 42, of Athens was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday, according to a news release from U.S Attorney Carter Stewart. In November 2010, Hutchinson made a video of himself engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old and sent it to a sex offender in Boston, Mass. Boston law enforcement discovered the video and alerted officials in Ohio.
Hutchinson was arrested in March 2012. He pleaded guilty to using a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct in August 2012. Hutchinson admitted to sexually abusing a boy in Athens County several years ago and discussed it with a sex offender in Boston, the news release said.
Hutchinson will be placed under court supervision for the rest of his life after serving his prison sentence.
