A man convicted of a 2005 murder wants his sentence reduced.
Brent Hanselman's lawyers filed a motion Thursday in Kanawha Circuit Court to reconsider his 40-year prison term. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder when he admitted to chasing down and killing his stepfather, Gerald Burford, in South Charleston.
Judge Tod Kaufman is expected to make a ruling in the next few days.
