A portion of the dock at Lou Wendell Marina holding more than a dozen boats in St. Albans took off down the Kanawha River Thursday morning.
Witnesses reported seeing the runaway dock about 8 a.m.
Eyewitness News viewer Ryan Bowers submitted this video, capturing the dock on the way to the Nitro-St. Albans Interstate Bridge.
Eyewitness News has learned firefighters were able to reel the dock in and secure it and the boats at the Lou Wendell Marine along First Avenue in St. Albans.
Meanwhile, overnight rain caused the Kanawha River to rise, partially submerging Magic Island and Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston.
