ROBBERY INVESTIGATION Police Catch Man Allegedly Trying To Rob Huntington Pharmacy

Lieutenant John Williams with Huntington Police tell Eyewitness News that Brandon Skaggs was locked in the pharmacy during the alleged robbery attempt. Williams said, "Pharmacy personnel had locked the doors and left, leaving the subject trapped inside, once officers responded, he was holding a box cutter, failing to drop it on the floor, officers attacked him to the ground to get the weapon from him and placed him in custody."
Police arrest a man they say tried to rob a pharmacy in Huntington Tuesday evening.
The robbery happened around 5 p.m. at the CVS in the 400 block of Washington Avenue.
Police say 26-year-old Brandon Skaggs walked up to the pharmacist, pulled out a box cutter and demanded pills.
Police arrested Skaggs after a brief struggle. He was taken to the hospital for a possible overdose. His condition is unknown at this time.
A man has been arrested for allegedly trying to rob a Huntington pharmacy Tuesday afternoon.
The robbery happened at the CVS Pharmacy in the 400 block of Washington Avenue around 5 p.m..
Dispatchers say the man walked up to the pharmacy, said he had a box cutter and demanded pills.
Police were able to catch the robber on the scene.
