A Greenup County juvenile has been arrested in connection with threats made to the Greenup County High School.
The Kentucky State Police arrested the juvenile after an investigation into the reports that resulted in the school being put on lockdown, according to a release from the Kentucky State Police.
On Monday, troopers were informed of text messages that said a bomb was put inside the high school, the news release said. Emergency personnel responded, but found no evidence of a threat.
On Tuesday, the State Police received calls of threats toward students and staff at the high school. The school was put on lockdown and a search was done.
The State Police and the Greenup County Sheriff's department were able to determine a suspect in the case. The investigation revealed the suspect allegedly used a cell phone application to change his phone number for each threatening text.
A 17-year-old student at the school was charged with terroristic threatening in the first degree, terroristic threatening in the second degree, and two counts of wanton endangerment. The student is being held at the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Greenup County Sheriff's Department has lifted the lockdown on all schools after a threat was made Tuesday morning.
Deputies are still at some of the schools, but there is no danger to the students. Details of why the schools were put on lockdown are not available at this time.

Sheriff Keith Cooper is asking parents to not come to any of the Greenup County schools at this time. Cooper says the students are fine.
