After all of the oaths were administered and the pomp and circumstance were over from the inaugural ceremony, it was time for a little glitz and for people to kick up their heels at the inaugural ball. People from all walks of life joined Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and first lady Joanne Tomblin at the Clay Center for the inaugural ball. The theme for Monday night's ball was West Virginia First, and the entertainment showcased bands and artists from the Mountain State. Organizers wanted the atmosphere to be as though when people walked in the room they could see, hear, smell and taste everything the state has to offer. Nearly every room showcased a different musician, and the those who attended the event seemed to have a great time. The governor and first lady said they were just happy to have their closest family members and state leaders there to support them. "We're celebrating West Virginia tonight, and we have all of the people who have helped support us over the last two years here to support us and we want to celebrate our state," first lady Joanne Tomblin said. Monday night's ball was expected to cost about $400,000, which is about half of what Joe Manchin's inaugural ball cost. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
