State Police said a man is facing drug charges and several others after a trooper made a traffic stop for the wrong vehicle registration.
Gregory Scott Broce, 41, of Huntington was charged with possession with the intent to deliver, being a felon in possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court. Broce also is wanted in Ohio on felony possession of heroin charges.
On Wednesday, a State Police trooper pulled over a car after it allegedly had the wrong registration and the driver was talking on a cell phone without a hands-free device, the complaint said. The trooper said he smelled marijuana and discovered multiple drugs and a gun inside the vehicle. The complaint said the suspect allegedly admitted that he sells pills so he could purchase heroin.
