A Papa John's pizza fundraiser benefiting the families of two state troopers who were killed last summer in the line of duty raised more than $9,000, a restaurant official said.
Praveen Srinivasan of Papa John's said the money was raised during a statewide event.
On Dec. 18, Papa John's donated 20 percent of its sales from every store in the state to the families of Troopers Marshall Bailey and Eric Workman. The troopers died after being shot in the Wallback area of Clay County in late August.
