Charleston's Terry Kidd works the bag at the King Center, getting ready for his bout in the annual Rough N' Rowdy Brawl. But Kidd is practicing more than his punching power, he's also calling out his opponents through a video on the event's website. "Boys, any WVU fan, I'm challenging. The most hard core WVU fan, come out of the woodwork and challenge me," Terry Kidd of Charleston said in a promotional video. "We've really taken the Facebook and the social media thing a lot further this year. And that has really blown up the event," Chris Smith, Rough N' Rowdy Brawl promoter said. Smith says social media posts introduce the fighters to Rough N' Rowdy Brawl fans. The fighters say it's a chance to build a little momentum before they step into the ring. "It gives you more fuel to go in there and fight, keep going," Kidd said. "Drive you. Makes your opponent more aggressive and makes you more aggressive. We just go all out." "All right Joe Jones, you see the man back here don't you? You done messed up, you done called out the wrong guy. I done called my lawyer, told him what my boy's going to do to you and he told me to have A Bail Bondsmen on speed dial because he might get his hind end throwed in jail for what he's going to do to you Friday night," Steve Skeens of Diamond said in a promotional video. "Wooo! I'm gonna kill him!" Cody Skeens added in that same video. The Skeens family from Diamond is well represented with two brothers and a sister fighting in the brawl. Their dad says the videos generate excitement and get both participants and fans a little more fired up. "Well, Kennie this is kind of a dream for all three of my kids here," Steve Skeens said. "We've been going to the Rough N' Rowdy Brawl for probably seven years and they couldn't wait until they were 18 to get in it." More than 100 men and women are signed up to participate in the capital city's Rough N' Rowdy Brawl . It gets started Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 at the Charleston Civic Center.
