A Kanawha County man pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to possessing child pornography.
Tracey Cooper, 38, of Dawes admitted to having more than 600 pictures and videos on his computer of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct,.
This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, which was launched in 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice, in an effort to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Cooper faces up to 10 years in prison when is sentenced later this year.
