A Martin County, Ky., man was sentenced after pleading guilty to manslaughter in an fatal crash that killed a passenger in his car.
Billie Evans, 26, was sentenced to 10 years in Martin County Circuit Court on Thursday. Evans was originally charged with murder and DUI but pleaded to a lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter in November, Martin County Court officials said.
The accident happened in February 2012 along Route 292 in Warfield. Irvin Spaulding, 21, died in the crash.
